This Amber Ale is loosely based on the American Amber Ale style. Although it technically falls within the style parameters, it's use of German and English malts and an English ale yeast strain take it on a slight tangent. Our use of German speciality and English base malts imparts pleasant malty, toasty, and biscuity aromas and flavors, while the English ale yeast lends a bit of an estery fermentation profile. Magnum hops provide a balancing bitterness while Cascade and Centennial lend fantastic citrus, grapefruit, and resiny characteristics that are expected from those American hop varietals.
